Time it takes to complete the AI turn

What is the average time it takes four your games to complete a Turn (wait for the AI to complete)?

I am playing a game on huge Galaxy with 6 opponents everything abundant and mid game takes +/- 60 seconds
on an AMD X2 running on 2600 Mhz. Also played the same game on a laptop witn an Intel M 2Ghz and this is taking roughly the same amount of time.

What i notice is that the dual processor is not really adding to the processing power and taking more or less the same time as a single processor.

I will force the game on 1 CPU later today to see if this changes anything.

For now 60 seconds feels like too much but let me know what your results are.

I've also played the same sized game you have. And I also have an X2 processor. During the turns the game moves all the ships currently in route to a destination, one at a time. So it really doesn't matter if you have a super-processor, turn length is dependant on how many ships you have on the field that are moving to a destination. Fewer ships moving equals fast moves, more ships equals greater turn length. This also applies to AI ships that are currently visible including freighters, constructions, ect.. Im not sure if it takes longer if the AI has ships moving that you are not visible.
