How do I fully un-install?

The game keeps crashing on me. I played it for a few days and it was working just fine, but now it crashes every time I try to start a new game. I have tried to delete the game and reinstall it, but it still dose not work, and I cant find an icon titled "uninstall" anywhere. So I was wondering if I missed something, or is there a specific place where I have to look to find an uninstall icon?

If you installed the game via Stardock Central, just go back into the program and select GalCiv 2, then click the Uninstall button. Otherwise, if you installed off a disc, you should see an entry in your Add/Remove programs list in Windows.

to fully uninstall:
-1st follow the direction of yarden
-2nd you could check if there is any left over in the galciv2 folder on your hard drive (just in case something got wrong)
(use the search function for galciv2 or galactic civilization 2)
-3rd all your savegames & preferences are stored in "My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2"
backup & delete them

alternatively you might just want to delete My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2\prefs.ini to restore default setup

Or, go into start menu>run> tyoe in regedit , click the plus nex to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE , then the plus next to SOFTWARE and look for Stardock in that expanded menu. Then just highlight and delete the whole stardock folder in the registry. Then clean out your temporary files, and all stardock folders on your hard drive

ok I have done everything I can think of and the game is still crashing. This is very frustrating. I mean, it was working just fine yesterday, then it just crashed and every time I un-install the game then re-install it, it keeps crashing whenever I try to start a new game. Any idea whats going on guys?

Reformatting? You mean completely deleting my hard drive, then re-installing everything? That would be rather drastic. I'll think about it though, if it means that I can get this game to work.
