Civ abilities question

ok, I was about to start a new game with the Korx when I ran into a issue. the Korx have a race ability of +15% eco, but when I put 4 more pts into it to make it 45% it seems to disregard the inherant 15%, only showing 30% on my race overview. Is it 45% percent even though its not showing? or not

Also has anyone gotten an effect from the creative ability, i used it once and didint notice anything

All races have some special abilities they get from the start without using abilitiy points. In the menu where you can spend your points you will notice that there is probably no x / mark for an economy bonus even though its listed in the overview - unlike when you choose a bonus they don't have from the start. Now when you put your 4 points on economy it kind of overwrites the initial - and free - bonus. Just counting/checking the bonus you get for your points.

So you can choose to keep the free bonus of 15% and invest the points somewhere else or to put them on economy for something greater than 15% but "loosing" the 15% you get for free.

I usually "delete" the preexisting bonuses (only playing the humans so far) and spend the 10 points on whatever abilities to suit my intention of playing - disregarding these bonuses might make it an even greater challenge.
