In the WindowBlinds configuration window, click on "Basic Settings". Under the heading, "Ehance Desktop Elements", UNcheck the item, "use skin sounds (if any)".

Hi! My problem is that even if I uncheck the option in WB "use skin sounds (if any)", the sounds keep working, and the option is still checked next time I open WB. I have WB 5.5 enhanced, on XP Pro. I tried sounds off in windows as well, and if I delete the sounds in the theme, the theme doesnt load right (I did that by changing the *.wba extension of the skin to zip, then deleting the wav files.) I'd like the sounds off in the themes, any wonder working solution?
Thanks

install the skin, open the folder, delete the .wav files. It shouldnt affect loading the skin.
or open the skin in skinstudio and uncheck 'enable button sounds'(non per pixel frame buttons)

So, I finally figured out how to disable the sounds in Skin Studio, after looking around some more posts here, thanks Caven 1 for the initial idea that helped an amateur like me.
For anyone else who still has same problem, here is what I did:
Download free Skin Studio 6.0 from Stardock site; open the skin (make sure you have it backed up), select 'Edit Titlebars and WindowFrames' from the left panel, from the menu that appears select 'Edit UIS2 Frames', from the pop up menu select 'Titlebar buttons', on the middle bottom part go through the buttons one by one selecting them, then 'Actions'/Sounds/NoSound; you have to do this for each button that has a sound attached, at the end save the skin (preferably with another name) and apply it.
Have a nice day!
