tech trading

Hi all,

I think there's a flaw in the tech trading strategy if you choose to play with that option. One strategy is to buy new techs from alien civs, sell it to the others (you ALWAYS end up with a profit), while at the same time not giving away yours (especially techs that take ages to research). How about giving the AI this option too as it seems their techs can ALWAYS be bought, for the right price.

Wrong on both points. One; the AI can do it if it wants to (check the debug.err and you can see it trading away) and two; you pretty much can't buy military if you have power.

When your econonmy is making 1800 BC per turn, money is no object. So I bought ALL alien techs.

Repeating Marcathonas' statement, The Ai will NOT sell you military techs if you are the Strongest empire.

Play at a higher difficulty and with a race that doesn't have good economic abilities.

Turn TT off if you don't like it.
