Player created ships in expansion

i mean no offense but the designs for the core ships right now, while great, arent omg thats amazing as some of the player made designs that we have seen since the game was created and thats understandable u guys have to create a working game not concentrate on the jewelery but for an expansion one thing that would be really sweet would be to include a set of player made ships that peopel who dont want to design there own but want there ships to look as good as the guys on the forums can use
how this could be done would be a contest similiar to the spot galciv2 in stores contest you recently held where people will submit pictures of there ships that would fall under catagories such as trade, colony, constructor, fighter, frigate, capital ship, and so on and so forth these catagories would then be split into the different hull designs so that by the end of the day the devs can pick out the best ships for torian colony ship, human fighter, dregarian troop transport, exct exct.
of course it wouldnt hurt to add a little initiative such as free t shirts to make sure that the work is the absolute best
how i would seen this done is that instead of making these ships have certain weapons or sensors on them that require technology i would have the contest where it is just the hull and the jewelry added onto so as soon as you reasurch the required hull all you have to do is slap on some weapons engines and such and build
im certain that you have enough on your plate already with society e3 round the corner and then planning for the expansion but a contest like this would really get the minds working and if game news sites such as gamespot post bout this contest (like they did when The Movies had its own contest) you could get some added publicity and some sweet ships for the expansion with only the cost of a few t shirts (probalby cheaper than developing your own ships that look as good as some of the community ones anyways.)
