Desktop X Buffer Overrun Error Message

What The Heck Happened?

Out of the blue, when I booted my computer this morning, I got an error message telling me that a buffer overrun had been detected in desktopx.exe...this buffer overrun had corrupted the program, so Desktop X had to shut down because it was not useable. I decided to uninstall Desktop X, then reinstall it through Stardock Central, I rebooted after installation, and then got the same darn message. My weather widget actually loaded just fine, but when I went into the objects folder and picked an object at random to load, I got the same buffer overrun error. So apparently widgets are useable, but the rest of program is toast.

How do I fix this? Help, please.

hm.. I really got no clue, but have you tried reinstalling Windows Script? It seem to sovle alot of issues with DX. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=C717D943-7E4B-4622-86EB-95A22B832CAA&displaylang=en

*bump*

Haven't tried that yet, but it's definitely an option.

Any other suggestions?
