Beta3 bug: ship upgrade bug

First, you play normaly and design a strong ship, then restart game.
You begin to build another user-designed ship.
Upgrade the design at shipyard and name it the name same as the previously designed strong ship.

Wow, you can get previously designed strong ships easily, even in early stage !
My 55bc cheap battleships with phasors, photon torps, barriers and 4 hyper warp drives are invincible !
hmmm...

That's not a bug it's an exploit. The game is behaving as it should (Recalling the information of the correct ship name, and adding all the weapons it thinks should be there), while viewing the current price. If you crash the game don't complain, I can only imagine the feats of logic your machine is pulling off to do that. Is it so hard to come up with a different name each time?

Using this would be an exploit, but I fail to see how this wouldn't be considered a 'bug'. If you go to create a ship and simply name it the same as an existing ship, it should ask 'overwrite previous version?' in order to keep this from being exploitable.

Agreed- I can see someone using this exploit in a metaverse...

Ding Ding, exactly why they need to either fix this bug, or if its intended don't allow us to name ships something that has already been named (with the possibility on the same screen of just overwriting the previous design)
