Endless downloading of gc2.sdc file

Have Tried Everything

Just bought the game a couple of hours ago and have spend the last comple extremely frustrating hours trying to download the game. I am stuck in an endless cycle of downloading the gc2.sdc file. I have tried everything and nothing seems to work.

I have turned off both my firewall and antivirus programs.

I have deleted and re-installed the Stardock application.

I have deleted all instances of the gc2.sdc file in the /temp directories.

I really need some help here.

Thanks EDIT - Hmm, gave it one more try and now it seems to be working, I have no idea what I did to make it work..

There may be problems with the California distribution. Please try switching servers in Tools/Settings/Internet if you have this problem. Another thing to try is flipping the View/Show pre-release versions before initial install, and then flipping it back to update, as that will avoid the .sdc file that you could not previously download.
