popup read start menu command?

i did the following:
add a "various-function item" -> current function -> more system commands -> popup real start menu

has anyone ever used this rather interesting feature? more specifically, have you ever made it work? it does nothing for me. is it fixed in the interesting but currently unusable 1.99g version?

*looks for something to hit computer with*

i have just re-tried this, since i was posting about it, and today the start menu flashes. i.e. it appears for about half a second and then disapears.

it never used to do that, but i would suggest that this is not really usable. i wonder if playing around with 1.99g had an effect on this

Does that for me too. Ctrl-Esc still brings it up though, but in the place where it would be if your task bar wasn't hidden

I assume we're talking RightClick?

Works OK here. Although it's appearing top left corner.

My taskbar is hidden by OD+ but it's normally in the default (bottom edge) position. No big deal tho'...
