star dock issues

First of all I wanted to say that playing Galciv 2 is ssoooo adicting. I am having issues with star dock. I cant get my serial number to work. I dont know why., I have tried the serial number from the back of my disk case, and Star Dock calls it invalid. I also have a second serial on the back of the case, and I have never figured out what its for. I have the special addition of galciv 2. I know that I should be able to update the game, but I dont know how. 
any help would help. I dont know if there is anything im missing.....
