"positive bug"

Well dont know if someone else also tried to have this bug, but here goes.

During gameplay I invade a planet with a custom buildt transport ship, only problem was that it dident disapair after the invasion, meaning that I could keep invadeing with the same ship over and over.

while fun at the first two planets, needless to say this gives a huge unfair advantage which made it a bit too easy to complete a game.

Just thought I would let it be known that stuff like that also happens!

How was the ship customized? Being able to reproduce the bug would help stardock fix it.

hmm. I had this. I presumed it was that:

If (military number after invasion) > (military number before)

Then the people were still alive, climbed back abord the ship and headed off.

This could well happen if you use info warfare, and win with a margin greater than the number in your ship. Not tested it, but that's the first thing that comes to mind.

if more than 1000 people survive, then the transport stays in space.

I have had this happen in V1.1. I invaded Altaria with 2 transports, and used information warfare. I lost less than i gained through information warfare, so I kept both ships, and invaded the next planet. I didn't think of it as a bug though, but I was surprised that I won so easily - especially since I had no soldiering bonuses, or had researched any invasion techniques besides basic planetary invasion. (I have noticed that invading is much easier in this build - I can conquer a world with over 10B population with only 1B soldiers.)

I think this was in order to balance the slower reproduction rates but I agree that it need to be tweaked.

Regardless of number of survivors, I think there needs to be a minimum of one troop transport used up per invasion. That's all we seem to have happening here.
