New user.strange problem

hi,

I seem to have a strange problem were some things in the interface are not visible.I don't see most sliders and dials.Were there is supposed to be this purple backgound it's all black.Rather annoying.

Oh I love your game btw.If only I could bully the AI more,l want to threat it with war if they don't give me that border world

First game I played I set my custom race's color to dark blue. Couldn't see anything correctly, as they blended into the background.

The other thing I can recommend is check your brightness/contrast settings in the game.

I have tried another color but it isn't it.I don't even see the mini map button options nor the zoom (+/-).
It's like all these things are hidden. (now I picked a yellow color for race).

Try turning off all of the additional video features, maybe your graphics card is just having trouble rendering everything.

Also try dropping the resolution a little to see if that helps.

Lastly, try adding a "w" to the end of the gc2.exe in the shortcut to start it in windows mode to see if that helps

To have them give you stuff, you'll want high diplomacy, and a stronger military. Don't expect a whole planet though.

I have a GF7800GT,If I can't render this game I'll sell my PC.

About the border world,I want to say "hey you don't give me the world than I'll wipe you from the map".It's more implicit at the moment.
