Background music not changing

Exactly how are you doing this? I'd like to know because I've been unable to get the game to play more than one music track, seems to randomly pick one when loading the game and loops it endlessly.

Same problem for me.
How do I fix it?

You don't get different music when speaking to other races in the diplomacy screen, going to war vs being at peace, or when research complete screen pops up? What version of the game are you running, and did you install from SDC?

When you start a game it picks a song A. It will play song A over and over. When you colonized your first new planet, it shows the short video, than goes back to song A. If you go to war, it goes to song B, but plays song B repeatedly until you are losing bably or no longer at war.

Ths is DA 1.8C straight from SDC.

I really notice this problem(it becomes more apparent) when use my custom music, because the original music is so "new age" or background...that you don't really notice it.

The game should switch tracks whenever certain events occur, like war, peace, alliances, becoming good, neutral, or evil. If you don't like a song that's been looping, all you have to do is go the the main menu and select continue game, this will switch tracks.

That blows... Oh well, I will have winamp run in the background and turn music off in the game. I expected the game during peace to cycle thru all the space**.mp3 and during war to cycle thru war**.mp3. But I guess that not the case.
