Dragable Rally Point Idea!

Would it not be great if you could click and hold on a rally point and drag it moving it where ever you want! All the ships on or going to that rally point would follow. Be even quicker and easier then goveners. As the battle moves you just drag the rally point forward. No resetting the colony and then the ship rally points again and again.

Love the idea!

Why did not anybody think of this earlier! Great Idea!

But I suspect there might be some problems to this later in the game. Sounds like real performance killer, but lets see what SD thinks.

Click and drag is a bad idea, I'd end up moving it when I meant to move around on the map. However, movable rally points has been brought up before and is a good idea. The suggestion I liked best is putting a "move" button in the rally point window that let you click somewhere else and it would move there. Not as quick and easy, but less likely to be done accidently, and you really shouldn't be moving rally points all that often.

Moveable rally points should have been in this from the beginning. It's frustrating setting a rally point for constructors only to find that you're 1 parsec too close to a starbase, and suddenly you need to make a new rally point right next to it - or move each ship individually.

I love the idea. A rally all ships and a rally all planets would be nice too. It's a bit of a pain when you have 15 planets and have to go through each one individually to set up a rally point.

You can do what you want now in the governor's area. I even find using governor's to time consuming and you have been setting them up planet by planet. Cannot even imagine your frustration with this.
