Found my first PQ26 planet

*glee*

It was the second system NW of my homeworld, but I colonised toward the opposite direction, an area that was far away from the AIs. Fortunately, the Altarians, who had that gem, decided to declare war on me and only had 5.0b people on it. Now it's mine. . . After full terraforming it'll be PQ32.

Right now, it's PQ28, due to basic Soil Enhancement. I'm still building the Habitat Improvements, so it's not quite 30, yet. Terraforming is a long ways away. . .

the more I play the more I realize high pq planets are just holes in space thru which you endlessly pour social production.
sure there neat but they just take forever to finish. (cant wait for the no social waste update).

Yes. I got a Class 26 a while back, too - I just had to sacrifice 100 people a day to a semi-benign energy being to do it.

On the bright side, it really served to bolster my research.

If you get a huge planet like that.... build a good few factories right away - 4 seems like a good number to me and a starport. Then start specialising it towards tech or cash - whichever you need the most. Once it has built all the buildings and relevant capital, then you can choose whether to upgrade those factories into banks/labs or just to leave it as it is - a very productive planet that can also crank out ships.
