New User encountering problems

Just got my hands on the collectors edition, but I've run into a few problems. Resolved most of them, but a couple remain:
1. I bought my copy in the UK. I entered my CE code to generate a serial number. I then entered both serial and CE codes into the registration page. For some reason it kept telling me my CE code was invalid for that serial, yet on the downloads page I found a download for CE content. Did it work??
2. I attempted to upload a picture for my character, but received the following error:
Exception:
Conversion from string "undefined" to type 'Integer' is not valid.s
It told me to CTRL-C the text, but since it's a dialog box you can't CTRL-C the text (that I know of!)
Help?
While I'm here, if you try to upload a picture for your profile which is of the wrong type, etc. the error displayed is maroon on a black background. Nigh on unreadable unless you highlight.
