Trade goods

What in sam hill do I do with these things? Do I trade them away? What is the exact benefit in holding on to them? How many times can I trade away a certain trade good before I lose it?

Well, they each give your civilization a specific bonus. You can trade them if you want, or hold on to them. Holding on to them means that no one else can get that bonus. You can trade it to everyone without losing it. (If you acquire one from some other race by trade, you only get the benefit - you can't trade it to someone else).

You can trade each of your trade goods one time to each other civilization. Once they got it, they keep the bonus all the time but your are the only one, who can give it to anyone.

and just to be clear, if I have a trade good ad I trade it to my neighbor, we BOTH get the bonus, right?

Imagine this scenario.

I built a galatic wonder. I sell it to all race. Now I destroy the wonder and I pressume I lose the bonus. Do the others get to keep theirs? Am I the only one allowed to build it now?

Firstly, you cant destroy galactic wonders or trade goods.

Secondly, not all galactic wonders are trade goods.

Third, I'm not sure what happens if you lose the planet that built the trade good.

The race in control of the trade good gains control of it. I know this because I invaded a planet with the trade good, and it became mine!

I try to monoplise the trade goods as soon as i can, and i dont sell them, least not for a LONG while, late game if i have long term allies and i running on hard times, then and ONLY then i might part with the trade goods.

In my last game i managed to get all the trade goods to myself heehee


I kind of hope they can introduce MORE trade good to game, so its not so easy to molopolise them all, but also t create more veraity, even if some other good was very simlar to what already in game.

I would also like to be able to see at a glance which people OWN the trade good, and which people are benfitimg from it
