Screen Resolution

My screen resolution is 800x600 because the monitor is very old and can support 1024x768 however at only 60 hertz so I don’t chose to run it at that. I get the box telling me to set it to 1024x768 but then the game plays anyway and it seems fine. So what is exactly wrong with having my screen at 800x600 and launching the game?

Sometimes desktop resolution matters, but so long as your hardware is *capable* of getting to 1024x768, it should generally be able to switch to that itself when it starts up (which it seems to be doing for you, since if it weren't the interface would be mishapen in many places).
