Of Kempler Rosettes and Event Horizons

So I was playing around with the XML Files last night, specifically what all can I do with solar systems, planets, and suns. I couldn't find the handle for creating a rogue planet (i.e. planets not orbiting a star). I also couldn't locate the handle on how to place the various planets within a solar system (i.e. if I want to place planet X at 1.1 Angstrom Units, Planet Y at 3.2 AU, Planet Z at 5.2 AU, etc.). Are there handles for either of these available (or will there be handles for either of these in the future?)?
Also, any chance we're gonna have Black Holes or Neutron Stars available to populate our maps with?
Finally, any update as to when the map editor and/ or scenario designer will be made available either for Beta Testing or as a general release?

Lol, since you evidently like to throw around technical terms, you should note that an AU is actually an "astronomical unit" (distance between Earth and Sun) while an Angstrom unit is kind of the opposite of what you want (10 billion angstrom = 1 meter).

Whoops! So whats a few powers of 10 between friends, eh?

Anyways, I think the questions are still pertinent, and it'll be interesting to see exactly what can and can't be mod'd into scenarios/ maps etc. From my perspective the more tools available to the modders, the more they can then do with them.

I read in one interview with B.W that he really wanted to include asteriod fields except the coding got too complicated (A.I didn't react well or something, testing would have taken a long time) so they dropped the idea.

I for one hope that they eventually come up with a way to add some interstellar obstacles and terrain...afterall there is a plethora of things out there in space that could be used to either hinder movement through sectors, cause damage to ships, hide ships, or endanger planets.

Asteriod fields are one, there are also black holes, nebula, comets, supernovae, neutron stars, pulsars, meteors etc.

Indeed, now that game is OUT, perhaps they can take the necessary time and planning to do those things they couldn't quite get into the game for various reasons.

I LOVE the idea of more space "landscape." I think it would be great to be able to mine an asteroid field, lay claim to a STABLE wormhole, use nebulas as a permanent sensory dead zone. And while it would suck, I'd LOVE for the chance that a star could supernova! It could lead to a really sweet set of events. Like say you are in the middle of a long war and get an event pop up: "Our scientists paid a visit today with a heavy heart; it seems the jewel of [CIV NAME], the [STAR NAME] Star will supernova in [X TIME]. Complete devastation to the star's system is to be expected. How should we proceed, sire?

GOOD - Drop everything and begin relocation procedures stat... and if we don't HAVE relocation procedures... make them up! Just get those people out of there! Planetary improvements be damned. ( -20 social, -1000bc)
NEUTRAL - Have the system govenors get there things in order and be ready for syste wide evac no later than 6 weeks before our projected explosion. ( -5 social, -5 research, -5 influence)
EVIL - I like things that go boom! Hold a system wide lottery for "evacuees." No selected number? No further existance! Have our propulsion scientists get that special nuclear sail experiement up and running my nova time, we might actually come out AHEAD on this thing... until then, make sure my schedule is clear, I don't want to miss this! Oops... forums appear to be on the bottle today... sorry for the multi-post!
If a moderator could delete the two clone posts above, that'd be great.
I've tried many times and keep getting a yellow ERROR page everytime I click on EDIT.

Again- sorry!
