Maximum resolution on secondary monitor fixed to maximum resolution on primary

Problem with laptop using external CRT monitor

Dear all,

This is an excerpt of my message to the support helpdesk, to which no answer as yet, perhaps some of you experience the same as me:

"I'm using WindowBlinds for some time now and it works to my full satisfaction. Apart from one issue, I cannot seem to resolve:

I'm using a laptop with a 1024x768 resolution as my primary monitor. Attached to this laptop is a 17" CRT monitor on a 1280x1024 resolution, set as secondary.

When WindowBlinds 5 is loaded it uses the resolution of the primary monitor as ' system-resolution'. If I move a program from the primary to the secondary monitor using Ultramon, WindowBlinds 'remembers' the system resolution and the program window cannot be enlarged to fullscreen 1280x1024. The maximum size of the programs on the secondary monitor is limited to the resolution of the primary monitor.

Of course I can exclude the program that is dragged to the secondary monitor, but since I don't necessarily know which programs are to be dragged, in essence I need to exclude them all. Which means don't load WindowBlinds at all (not preferred!).

Is there a way to have WindowBlinds know it has to use multiple resolutions on multiple monitors ?

Your thoughts on this are greatly appreciated."

Anyone no a solution to this, am I using wrong settings ?

Appreciate your reply.

Frank.

Did you get an automated reply?
You need to reply to the instructions in that to "activate" the case (at least you used to, I'm not sure these days).

If you didn't get an automated reply . . . try again, Stardock support didn't get it.

I use Mutliplicity instead of dual monitors so can't assist there. Sorry.

the dual monitor issue has been brought up before.  i can't access WC to search there (more posts on the subject) - but here's a kinda recent one found putting 'dual monitors' in the search at SD:
