Set to default?

Is there any possible way to set the options and what not to default? I specifically ask because after trying a custom race in a game, the Terran Alliance no longer have any starting techs or proper racial traits. I've tried pressing clear but that doesn't bring back the missing techs. Is there anything that can be done? A file or something that retains such knowledge, if deleted refers to default? Anything?

Yup, i had the same problem. You have to delete the custom files in your folder

C:\Documents and Settings\(your loginname)\My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2

Ther is 1 file for each race you changed.

Hope they will fix this in the next patch.

I'd like a set to default option in the preferences as well, I'd like to reset my gfx options to the original options. But no such function exists.
