No 'cloaking' tech?

Been watching too much Deep Space 9 but it did get me wondering why there isn't any cloaking technology (or is there) in GC2? Be nice to sneak ships past starbases and other ships and so on.....

I haven't looked at the full tech tree, so apologies if this kind of thing is already in GC2!

There was a cloaked ship in the old OS/2 galciv game but it turns out it was not fun at all. So it was tried and discarded long ago.
