Trading to Minor Civilizations

I know that trading to major civs usually leads to your technology getting traded to other civs, but what about trading stuff to minor civs? Do they freely trade them away?

I beleive the minor races trade with the majors, so yes, trading to them may result in the other races getting your hard earned techs.
