Audio Levels Changing

I ran my Stardock Central and updated my digital download of GCII. Although my game is not crashing like some users have reported after applying the patch, I have a very reproduceable game bug with regards to the audio settings. The audio settings DO visually remain as I set them. However, the EVENT audio will simply blast at full volume UNTIL I go into the settings and click and move the EVENT audio slider THEN the audio will return to the slider's settings. Example of slider settings; MUSIC=1100, EVENT=1700 and SFX=2400. The settings "remain" yet the audio does not ADHERE to the settings. I like playing this game with each of the audio's emitting their sounds and would prefer not to play the game with any of the sound muted so please fix this in the next patch. I like GCII's tech tree and it is easier to understand, navigate and make choices. However, IMHO, Alpha Centauri's tech tree still rules with its massive abundance. Notwithstanding, GCII is a richer game experience and very easy to dive into and play for 8 straight hours!! My "boxed game" just arrived today and I was a little dissapointed. I was hoping for a bigger, thicker, juicer game manual with tons of pages. But again I love spiral bound, 700+ page manuals such as the one that came with my game Dangerous Waters. In any case, the small game manual issue really has no major bearing at this point whereas I've been playing GCII every night since I purchased the digital download. This is also a testimonial to the game's inherent "ease of use and playability" without the need to read a game manual to begin with. Thanks again for a TERRIFIC game.
