I may be blind as a bat but when I try to download the 1.0D1 patch from friday so I can update my computer at home it gives me these options

Galactic Civilizations II Bonus Pack:
The Bonus Pack is now out and downloadable via Stardock Central (v1.0D or higher) or you can download it directly here.

The Bonus Pack includes:
+ Additional new visual effects
+ Several new ship components
+ New Computer AI levels
+ A few gameplay tweaks from playing the gold master
+ Full screen video support for tutorials
+ 3 new large hulls
+ 4 new maps
+ 4 new scenarios
+ Ability to enter money via keyboard in the diplomacy screen
+ Smarter tooltips
+ 15 new race logos for custom races

Enable Collectors Edition Content only (Windows 9x/2000/XP):

To access the in-game Collectors Edition content, you must have the latest version of the game installed (either via standalone update from GalCiv2.com or Stardock Central).

Download and Run this setup program to enable the in-game content.

Install Galactic Civilizations II Desktop Enable Collectors Edition (Windows XP or later):

Run this setup program below to enable in-game Collectors Edition content and install the Galactic Civilizations II Desktop. You must have the latest version of the game installed (either via standalone update from GalCiv2.com or Stardock Central).

Now I'm pretty sure it is not one of these so I am curious if I am looking in the wrong location or if the link on the update download button is misdirected.

HOW DO YOU GET THE PATCH. I'm having the same probelm! I don't want to install stardock central and I 'm getting the exact link you are!

Apparently the patch is INSIDE the bonus pack I guess? It's not at all clear.

Yes

1.0D was the original BonusPack version - also called Digital Release ( 21 februari )

1.0D1 is the patched version of the BonusPack. ( 24 februari )

"Enable-GalCiv2-Collectors-Edition.exe" gives you the Collectors Edition content.
"Galactic_Civilizations_II_Desktop.exe" does the same with the addition of Stardock's Theme Manager and a GalCiv theme.
A KICKASS Galciv theme.

Ok. I just bought the game retail and installed the latest Bonus pack from yesterday and it appears I have a few bug fixes, such as descritpions in the tech trading screen. I didn't pre-order so I don't get the collectors edition content and I don't have to run any separate exe right?
