Survey Ships?

Is there a stock survey ship?

I've never had a survey ship turn up as a build option. I've always had to design and build one.

Yes, but it takes a while to get to. Definatly easier to just boot up the ship editor after researching 'Sensors' and design your own

It was confusing. Especially on 2nd mission where I start of with a survey ship but still can't find an option to build one.
