GacCiv II incompatibility with MacAfee VirusScan

Whenever I start Galsvi II, MacAfee Virusscan complains that the launcher is trying to execute a suspiciious script.

I have complained to MacAfee, and received the information that there is currently no way to flag a single program as legitimate for this check.

Could SDtardock work with MacAfee to fix this incompatibility?

BTW Galcive 2 works properly after I OK it to VirusScan, but I have to do it every time it starts.

MsAfee flags almost all script as virii . . . it's a McAfee issue.

I use McAfee and get suspicious script warnings all the time with desktopX, you can turn off the script stopper in virus scan options /advanced if you want

I have spoken to MacAfee about the problem.

For some inscrutable reason, MacAfee VirusScan is unable to allow specific legitimate programs to run scripts, while blocking scripts from other programs.

Next time it asks you if you want to allow it to run the script...let it.

I'm afraid there doesn't seem to be a way to show legitimacy with McAfee. In the GalCiv2 readme, this situation is specifically mentioned (as it came up in testing). Simplest solution would be to create a shortcut to GalCiv2.exe directly and bypass the gadget. Make sure the shortcut you create has the working directory set the to GalCiv2 dir as well.
