Influenza Bug?

I haven't found mention of this before...

In two of my last three games I’ve had the map suddenly go solid blue, indicating a surge in Terran cultural influence. I checked the nifty sector influence button in the first game and discovered that Terran influence in all sectors was 665834513. In the third game it was 775581349. Needless to say, with influence at this level, planets start defecting like geeks drawn to a supermodel. The second game was similar. Some sectors didn't go over to my side, but all sectors had Terran influence listed at 757 and the game ended in cultural conquest.

Okay, what I should have typed was:

Every game now ends with ridiculous cultural influence numbers, except it's happening much faster now. I thought it might be tied to destabilising the AI economies, but that's not it. Oh well, back to NWN until Beta 4 arrives.

I have not been on the winning side of this bug, but I have witnessed the blooms.

My troubleshooting skills have gotten a little rusty. The one thing that all of these recent games had in common was my choice of the Pacifist Party. I started a new game last night on a large map and reverted to War Party - no problems.

Which would seem to indicate a bug with the way influence is calculated under a Pacifist-led government and tells me that I may never know how NWN ends.
