Could not load common.dll file

I am getting the error Could not load common.dll file.

I am running Windows XP x64 on a brand new installation. This is frustrating because it's basically money down the drain as of this point. It doesn't appear that anyone else has had this problem with the exception of one other post I have found. There was no resolution I could find. Any takers?

You must have IP 3.09b beta or newer installed. In SDC, check 'Show pre-release versions' and install latest IP beta version.

Actually this is IP 3.1 downloaded directly from Stardock (as a standalone product, not part of the suite).  Purchased today actually.

If you didn't get a link to Stardock Central (SDC) in your email, go here: https://www.stardock.com/products/sdcentral/

No, you're not alone. I also have XP 64 running on a brand new clean system with the same error. I suspect the shortage of other posts on this subject is down to very few instances of XP 64 out there. I also have the 3.1 version downloaded yesterday. I'm finding that IconPackager changes some of my icons but not all. For instance, my .doc Word documents are unchanged and the folder icons in some of my program "File > open" windows are also unchanged.

IconPackager needs an update and a bugfix for us XP 64 users I think.

This is turned off by default because of problems some users were having. You can turn it back on by (in IP) going to Tools/Repair Shell Icons and selecting "Repair shell icons for all processes", then reload & apply the package.

I'm not sure about the other problems, which may be x64-specific.
