Well, after having all my forum posts and requests for help since the last week simply ignored by Stardock while some other people get two or even three devs helping them
???? I don't understand the bit about 'last week' since GCII was fully available only yesterday.
Stardock service has been top of the line eversince galciv 1 (I cannot say for before, but I've been in the forums since the release day of galciv, and I can tell you I've never seen thislevel of support and interaction before.
You must have been unlucky and you posts got swamped by new threads that pushed it to the next pages.
If you repeat what is your problem I'm sure you'll get an answer, specially now that CariElf is here
I assure you the game is worth pushing your patience a bit. You won't regret it!

Maybe it was a problem with his order?
EDIT: and now you already have 2 devs at your side, see how good they are
Strange the support not having records of my emails since I sent them and I did not receive any error messages. Most of my posts where located in the now unstickied woes posts and in posts of people with similar problems.
My problem is quite simple: the download did not resume after some server hiccup. It's damn frustrating to download a monster file of 551MB to 76% and lost it all and having it start from beginning over and over again. This happens even with the smaller ~100 MB.
Adragal, do you want help or not? If not, ask for a refund and you'll get it.
There are TWO Stardock people on this thread trying to help you and you've used multiple responses now to complain about support when you could have told us what the issue was.
I don't mean to sound impatient but I can't tell if you want to just vent or whether you really want help on this.
BTW, support sends an auto-reply. So if you got nothing from support, it never received it.

As with all things computer, it does help to be as specific as possible as to error messages and such. Have you tried the download again today? I know yesterday would have been quite busy.
As Nastavnik said, all is well when CariElf shows up
and you have the bonus of Frogboy.
Hmm I've made an edit to my post above and I can't see the changes. But if I click the edit again, I can see it
Same here. That's why the post above repeats what I said after editing my reply.
Hello again, Adragal. First, have you checked this thread: Link It has useful tips for trying different servers and answers some common issues. As with all things computer, it does help to be as specific as possible as to error messages and such. Have you tried the download again today? I know yesterday would have been quite busy.
Maybe I should wait a week or two before retrying? Perhaps after the downloading frenzy in the preload and now I'll manage to get it...
Still I'd like to know why the resume function doesn't works.

1) Did you try a different server? The stickies threads deal with this. Just try a different server.
2) Download resuming had some issues during the pre-load test (hence the reason for the test). It's been long since addressed.
3) We don't control the Internet. Our long term conquest plan does involve taking control of it all. But in the meantime, you're in Brazil. We're in the United States. Your best route is to check different servers and find one that is fastest for you.
I would check the thread I cited above. Try the download again. If all goes well archive the download (directions in a stickied note) and burn it to disc so you have it safe just in case. I have bought many products from Stardock and have had few problems at all with the delivery method.
Good luck and keep us posted! I hope to see you on the metaverse
Adragal, I hunted down your posts in the woes thread. Did you try switching servers? What version of Stardock Central are you using? It should be at least 2.29a.
If your version of Stardock Central is not 2.29a, in Stardock Central go to Tools->Settings. Under Auto Update, make sure that Check for any Stardock Central (Beta/Release) Updates is selected, and that Prompt before updating Stardock Central is checked. Restart Stardock Central and see if prompts you to update.
If it doesn't prompt you to update try uninstalling SDCentral and install it again from here:
If you are runing 2.29a, try running this to clear your temp directory before trying to install again:
3) We don't control the Internet. Our long term conquest plan does involve taking control of it all.
But...but....why? Everyone worldwide could switch to Stardock Central....and then Object Desktop on all pc's....muahahahahahah
My biggest frustration is that I managed to download much bigger files in the past.
I think I'll just follow the advice from Citizen Terl and just keep retrying. I'll try that route too WishX.
Thanks all. If all fails (I hope not) I'll just ask for a refund.
Adragal, After you wipe it and reinstall, if you have any further issues, you can write to support@stardock.com and that will issue you a unique Trouble Ticket number. This will make it much easier for support to track your progress and help troubleshoot any further issues you may have.
I can definitely understand your frustration....been there before with things. Believe me, the game is worth the effort. Keep us posted.
Mais um brasileiro! E eu que pensava ser o unico!
Have you checked the available space on your hard drive? My foirst attemp to download everything failed because I though almost 3Go . Turned out it wasn't enough... (due to the temp file downloaded then the extraction of the previous files then installation) anywayy, it wasn't enough.
