How to increase Memory in use?

Hi I have 2 PC's, Compaq and Dell, both are running Celerons around 3ghz. Look at this:
Physical Memory: 503 MB
Min. Graphics Memory: 8 MB
Max. Graphics Memory: 64 MB
Graphics Memory in use: 8 MB
This info comes from the Intel Extreme Graphics and also from the manufacturers. I got that from the 512RAM the BUILT-IN (or on-board) memorycard is taking 8mbs and It could take up to 64mbs, but in both PC's when I enter to Bios to increase values I only have there either 1mb or 8mb,
1)How could I increase the 8mbs up to 16, 32 or 64mbs?
2)Based on the "Max Graphics Mem = 64mb" would it be a wastage to buy a videocard that tops on 64mbs?

Built in or shared video uses what it needs when it needs it. Memory in use of 8 MB is what is is currently using, when it needs more it can and will use up to 64 MB of your Ram. As far as adding a video card, when you add a card, built in video should be disabled. A video card works separately from built in video and your ram, it does not boost the built in.

Hey, your statement sounds quite logical. Let me share you this. Days ago I bought a TV Turner/Capture card and I installed it over the Compaq. The speed and audio during the recording process is fine, but regarding reproduction the image quality is about 85% because it has a little kind of “rain”.
After that I installed it on a Duron 1.2ghz that has a built-in videocard memory 16/64mb (constantly takes 16mb over the 64mb allowed for video issues) and even when the processor is less powerfull (comparing with the Compaq one) there the reproduction looks fine, so I don't understand why in this case it only takes 16 and the image quality is fine and in the Compaq one, as you told it can take more than 16 (up to 64) and there the image is not good. Could you explain this?

BTW My TV Card is Sabrent and I accomplish all its requirements.

No I can not, I don't have a TV card and am not sure as to how they work in regard to your system video.

easy peasy in the advanced settings button under settings in display properties you should find a tab that will let you increase the graphics memory used by the intel extremegraphics you will then be prompted to reboot
