Programs Running Fullscreen

My brother actually installed destop x for me and i really don't know how to configre or do anything with it except some basic features... Anyway my only problem is that when i open any window (folder, browser, ect.) they run in the fullscreen and overlap my taskbar. I was wondering how i disable this because i always want to be able to see my taskbar. Any help would be appreciated, thanks for your time.

You can always reduce the workarea since DesktopX builder, right click the desktopx icon in the tray > configure desktopx builder > in the desktop tab click in workarea and check "reduce work area" and fill about 100 in the bottom text. If you have any problem just ask

Have you checked that the taskbar is not set to autohide and that it is set to be on top of other windows?

Sample:

EDIT: For the record: This is not my properties. Ugly, ugly skin.

What about the check box under that? "Keep the taskbar on top of other windows"?

Objectbar (I think) and objectdock have a seeting to hide the taskbar. If you have them installed (never hurts to check) you might want to look in thier configs.

Until you're a retard or until you need help?

Either way, someone will be around.
