How to "Tune-In" a web broadcast with widget

The lack of detailed documentation continues to really give me trouble. I've been working for four days, to the tune of about 9 hours just trying to figure out how to design a widget to play an internet radio station.

I have the URL for the station, and when I enter it into one of the downloaded widgets, it plays fine. But no matter how closely I look at and experiment with those widgets, it always seems to come down to some script that is not one I can get to.

The only video of how to create a DXplayer takes most of it's time showing how to put buttons on the widget, which is already clear.

But if you add a DXplayer to a widget, where do you specify what to have it play?  I've looked everywhere, and it seems like everyone knows this excpet me.

Any help would be appreciated.
