Windowblinds 5.0 install says I need Xp or higher. I have Windows 2000.

Hello,

I used Stardock Central to try to install windowblinds 5.0. I uninstalled version 4, then tried to instll 5. I get a message that I need xp or higher. I thought Wiondows 2000 falls into that category. Does it? I get the message when I try to update another app within Stardock Central. Wht are my options?

Thanks.

Nope, 2000 is the predecessor to XP. The supported OSes for WB are:

5.0: Windows XP and Windows Vista (when available).
4.6: Windows 2000, ME, 98

Nope.. Directly from the ObjectBar page on https://www.stardock.com

ObjectBar compatible with:
Windows 98
Windows ME
Windows 2000
Windows XP

Wow, nice grammar there SD!

You get a message that OB is not compatable with win2k?

What version of OB?

I attached an image of the versions and the error message in my last post. I had installed 1.99d(b).002 and I was updating to 1.99e(b).002.

Are you getting the msg that ObjectBar cannot be installed on Win2000??

This happened to me with OB, too, & ObjectBar's documentation is, unfortunately, out of date. The current 1.99 version does not support Win2K or prior OS's, only XP. 1.65 is needed for those. 1.99 was intended & planned to support Win2K but there was some last-minute glitch just before 1.99 was released that caused some problems on 2K & support was turned off until they could get it sorted out. Sorting it out seems to be low on the priority list just now, though that is just supposition on my part.

Cheers,
