Latest Windowblinds 6-19-2007 does not work

I just downloaded from SDC the latest WB. Nothing is skinning. I get classic windows.

I didn't do an archive. Is there any way to get the prior version?

From WB:

Your computer has a Windows Experience Index base score of 4.4

Your Windows Graphics Experience score is 5.9

WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 5 (5.51 (build 97 x86))

WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC

WindowBlinds appears to be activated on this PC

(Generic PnP Monitor) 1 is attached to Radeon X1900 Series

If you untick 'Show pre release versions' you should be able to get 5.50.

Too late now, but you should always archive when trying beta releases

Build 97 is an XP build so it looks like the installer has installed the XP dlls onto Vista which would explain why things are not working correctly.

The correct build for Vista is build 110.

What version of Stardock Central is installed? Help / About, the build # specifically.

SDC is Version: 2.45.458, build 113.

The History is a bit misleading then

5.51 release
----------------
x64 Vista support added
Fix for issue with CS3
Misc tweaks and performance enhancements

I updated SDC to 2.45.462 build 113. I uninstalled WB and re-installed to the 6-19 release and I still have no Windowblinds.

I uninstalled WB again. I unchecked show pre-release. It only shows the 6-19 version available.

I guess I'm stuck with Vista Aero.

What's the version reported in Help / About? There have been builds of SDC in the past (113, I'm looking in your general direction) which then failed to auto-update the files, even if the version string was getting incremented.

http://sdc.stardock.com/sdcentral_setup.exe has the current version of SDC (2.45 Build 150), though I believe anything past build 147 should also be fine. Please reinstall that and then attempt to update WB 5.51.

SDC Help / About - Version: 2.45.462, build 113.

I've downloaded SDC again and re-installed SDC. After a re-boot SDC Help / About goes back to 2.45.462 build 113.

You don't even need to do a reboot, just close SDC and reopen and it goes back to Build 113.

In SDC settings:

Set: Check for SDC beta/releases
Set: Server to US1
Refresh XML data

Restart SDC

Did all that. After you close and reopen it goes back to saying build 113.

No problems with the 6-19 update so far on XP here.

Edit -

Spoke too soon: Regular menu skinning is fixed but Favorites Menu skinning is still broken. Works in 5.49.

This release does not work on my Vista machine.

Does the zapper work on Vista?

OK, I'll bite. What zapper?

It gets rid of ALL the Stardock software including caches, registry items, etc.

Bottom of the page WWW Link

I wouldn't suggest using it until someone from Stardock responds to my question tho....
Works like a charm on XP for borked installations.

I have Vista Premium and I use the lastest version of window blinds.. and it works fine. Be sure before you reinstall that you clean out your computer first.. cCleaner is good for that... And if that doesn't work , go to Stardock support and see if you can get them to send you a windowblinds download......

I've run ccleaner. It still don't work.

If build 113 is still hanging around when you redownload it and reinstall it, perhaps your ISP is caching it. Grab http://storage.stardock.com/files/sdcentral_setup.exe instead. Same thing, different link.

When I install SDC it asks if I want to run it. I check yes and it shows build 150. When I close SDC and open it again it says build 113.
