I'm not sure this would cause your issue, but something in Start11 is not getting the message from Windows to the Start11 Control settings. This an unusual situation which I have only seen once before, hence very difficult to diagnose. The fact that restarting Windows Explorer fixes the issue, something is wanky during boot. After you restart Explorer, does the the issue
As described in the 2.0 feedback thread, I'm still having issues with start11 menu not opening on start button click. I also noticed i cannot change the start button icon. (I can change the location however (left or centered))
Something in the boot process seems to be causing a hiccup in Start11 loading, since restarting Explorer fixes the issue. It would have to be something that loads early in the process sinc

What about Neil's question above? Is this a primary or secondary display and are you using a touchscreen based device?

You can control the size of the Start11 menu by selecting a smaller "Group widths," and by changing "Shortcut icons should be sized" in the Configs Advanced options to a smaller size. You can also choose not to show the App list in the start menu. With these settings, you should be able to make the Start11 menu as small as you want. As far as the blur, there is not a way to remove that, although I agree that would be a great option.
Great... ah, found it finally. It's right there, but, doesn't jump right out at you. I'd suggest making it more obvious (don't hide it in a dropdown), and/or defaulting to rounded always instead of what it currently is.
Glad you figured it out. Unfortunately the "Advanced rounded taskbar settings" apply to both maximized and non-maximized windows. So, if you have a rounded taskbar with a large vertical
You can use the Screen Ruler in Microsoft PowerToys to measure your taskbar in pixels. The latest version is 0.75.1 and can be found in the Microsoft Store. You'll have to measure the taskbar length in segments if you're using the rounded taskbar; if not, as basj said, you can just use the pixel width of your monitor. pelaird
Glad you got it sorted out. What issues did you have with Start11v2; was it caused by the process I gave you? It is also quite possible that uninstalling and reinstalling Start11 might have fixed the icons. [e digicons]:S[/e] You should consider updating your Windows 11 to 23H2 - 22631.2506, it's fixed a lot of Explorer issues, and has quite a few new features. If you are not interested, you should at least update to 22H2 - 22631.2506. From there, the upda
Sure. I'm wasn't sure if just restarting Explorer would work, so that's why I suggested the restart. Yes, you can defiantly make all the changes and then restart your computer. Good Luck!
Okay, let's try this with the PDF-XChange Editor. 1) Right click on the PDF-XChange Editor in your Start11 menu and select More>Open file location and leave that folder open. 2) Now open the Start11 menu again and right click the PDF-XChange Editor and select Unpin. 3) In the shortcut folder you opened in step 1, right click the PDF-XChange Editor shortcut and select Delete. Leave this folder open! 4) Open the Start11 menu and look in the All Apps
On the Windows 10 Style menu, the target for the power button context menu does not include the area beyond the right side of the Power symbol. If you move the cursor quickly over the area beyond the right side of the Power symbol, the context menu does not appear. Anywhere on the button to the right of Power symbol opens the context menu. https://1drv.ms/v/s!AlPnZU3br_UOiItEWuluMcc1DwtZbg?e=vBlFbf Windo
Above, I meant the All Apps list in the Start11 menu, not settings. Try these suggestion in the order listed. Right click on one of the apps with the generic icon and select Icon>Reset to default. Right click on one of the apps with the generic icon and select More>Open file location, then drag the shortcut icon from that folder to your Desktop, and now drag the shortcut back into the folder. Did either of these help?
