Haven't had this much fun since...

I have been playing with DesktopX and all the fish objects.  I found a scuba picture on the net, added the DX fish, Dawebmassa's plants, am using the Oranda cursors, and Alexandrie's Aquarium skin.  This desktop rocks!  And, I can watch the fishies randomly swim when I get frustrated with whatever I'm doing!  DesktopX is really getting amazing!  See my desktop pic by clicking on my name to see what I am talking about (you have to imagine it in motion, or better yet- create it yourself on your own desktop!)  Another thing to look at- look at the fish.  Notice how they are different colors even though they are the same?  You can color shift objects in their properties settings now on the fly.  how cool is that?

HI KG! I love it too! Check out my desktop. I even took some of the old ones that spin to make into icons.

Good to see you here! How are you feeling? (((HUGS)))

I, too have been enjoying the fishies. DX is really getting amazing.

I wish I could figure out to get the fish to turn around when they get to the edge of the screen instead of running off of it. Only the first two do this. The goldfish(?) and the angel. I haven't tried the color shift, didn't know you could do that. Will have to investigate it!

Welcome back and I hope you are feeling better.

HEH... if you change the color but don't check the box that calls for all states, they are one color going left and another going right!

I am wishing for bubbles, turtles, starfish... I will have to learn .png making.

I would like one of those treasure chests that open and the bubbles come out (like you see in real aquariums)...but that might be hard to do.

I take it you've all seen this? http://www.serenescreen.com/

Isn't that a screensaver? With DesktopX, I don't need screensavers. Or is there a way to extract the fish?

The only question I have for you then is what do you want to chest to be made out of. Do you want it to have the shimmering light that you get from light passing thru the water?

I know it's a screensaver, but with all the fish talk I thought some of you might be interested in it. It's fantastic to just sit and watch the lifelike 3D fishies swimming around, and if the DesktopX ones ever got to that standard I'd have them on my desktop all the time!

There's also a newer one with goldfish from the same people: http://www.lifeglobe.com/

#11...Sounds great. I'm not too picky. Well, actually I am, but you obviously have talent. I will look forward to whatever you can come up with.

#12...I never use screensavers, but if I did, that would be the one I would want. If I'm not using my computer, I shut it off. Actually, I think DX looks as good as that screensaver. We just need more fish.

Fish + Toon = Nuts
so I enjoyed the fish for a while and I do have a spider and a scorpion running around on my desktop atm but I like my orange Toony too much so I had to stick my fish in the toliet... hehe

can't seem to get off the Toon but I may peice together a neat ocean theme if someone pulls out a "Seahorse" swimming around *hint* *hint*
(just wishful thinking)

It is a boring scene …. Yawn, I think a water scene would be fun if it were a seaport, among the fish there could be frogmen mining the waters and setting charges on hulls ….a little pollution created by “quintessence of dust” man would be awesome too. Another fun little nuance would be to add luca brazzi sleeping with the fishes somewhere.

I had a screensaver like that once anthony. I think it was in the After Dark series, and it had toxic waste and a man with concrete shoes gradually drowning. Kind of the anti-aquarium saver.

I have that one Grayhaze and it is the After Dark 4.0 screensaver. http://www.sierra.com

Spider and scorpion, Doreen? Do they come with the DX Beta or are they objects one can download from the DX library or something else? Sounds great. And I like KG's screenshot also.

O This is exactly the type of artistic vision I enjoy…the designer is clearly an impact player.

sig you can get the scorpion here at WC off of DaWebMassa's uploads search here https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?AuthorID=4090
The spider and the scorpion are wayyyy too cool... (though they clash w/ the Toon theme I cannot take them off)

and dream I can't wait to see your 3D fish, but if anyone of you spot a seahorse swimming around please alert me! hehe

Silly me i have just started a thread asking for a mermaid. Oh! nearly forgot their is a fantastic wallpaper to compliment your fish which has a linked posted on one of the DesktopX threads in Neowin. This wall is really first rate and worth having if you are into the fishies.
