Why is Arcila being allowed to rip skins, (especially rips adni18), and post them here?

Twice "his" skins have been erased from the WC database, but he still insist.
I have a comment in my skin Ambient, were someone says that I am using Arcila's bitmaps! It is for laugh or cry, I don't know any more.

I honestly can't tell if he's actually ripping you andi, or if he's just "inspired" by you though I know in the past he ripped you. He seems to be unaware that what he's doing is improper.

adni18, I can spot your beautiful work a mile away. Keep up the good work. Hopefully Admins will put a stop to this person.

The worst part of all this is that really great and original skinners are forced down in the standings due to this. Skinners like TheGreenReaper, treetog, APB, Agneva, and even FrogBoy are all forced one rung down the ladder because this guy is allowed to rip skins and post them without consequence.

Just another reason why just a few days ago, I ran screaming from the site, my few skins in tow.

Can someone please post a link to two that look blatantly the same or at least contain identical images? I have just been through all of adni's and arcila's and while they are a similar style (not many rounded corners) and contain a metallic or other colour gradient I can't see any actual rips. Maybe I'm just blind though.

i think that there's no reason to post a ripped skin! never never never! also is very bad i skin ripped in the same customizing site!
I tempted to make 5 skins for Bindowblins. I posted the first, but i deleted because are poor quality and deffectuous (surelly i maked the novice errors). Other 3 i not posted here, because have very poor quality. And latest, and the only one with a minimum quality (released 7 months ago) i not posted because just before i finish, someone has posted a skin very similar (a strange but completely casuality)!
There's no reason to post skins with the same design! There's more than 1800 window blinds skins, but only less than 500 designs (+ or -, i not counted them)! Give the example of ESSORANT and TREETOG, that always make original skins!
My support to Adni18, i don't konw this case, but adni18 makes always original designs, and don't have any reason to rip any other designs, he have a big amount of imagination

don't worry, adni18, you know: if a creatir are being coppied, it means that the coppied author is greater!

I really think that it's quite imperative that allegations of instances of 'ripping' be supported with links to the works concerned.
It is good that people are ready and willing to keep an eye out for any 'questionable' works that may have been missed by the Admins, particularly when various members can upload direct without 'supervision'.

It doesn't matter whose work is alleged to be a rip, or whose is being ripped, what matters is that accusations are not erroneous or defamatory.

Generally, when certain skinning 'styles' are relatively 'generic', there's a reasonable chance that 'similar' skins will be coincidental.....I'm not saying that is specifically the case here, but people need to be aware of its potential.
As I said, it would be helpful to provide specific examples rather than a generalized 'deprecation society'...

I think it's obvious that Arcila's skins started as direct rips of Adni's work. We removed a few of them for just that reason.

With the latest one (not posted yet) I've spent two hours looking for which buttons, titlebar graphics, etc. are used in it. I haven't been able to find any direct copies of existing parts used from another skin (same as pjpowell's comment) even though parts of it look so familiar I fully expected to find the source. I agree they all look like adni's skins and I think the intent to copy the style is obvious (inspiration?). I had seen a comment from Adni on one of Arcila's skins and thought the issue was pretty much over, but apparently that's not true either.

It's unfortunate that Arcila doesn't show up on this message board to explain what he's doing. Maybe it's inspiration, or a beginner that started out with rips but is getting the hang of making his own stuff? I see a lot of recognizable stuff like pieces are copied and reshaped. If anyone recognizes specific parts and can post a link or a skin name (as Jafo suggested) it would help a lot.

Those damned Admins, I was just about to place several cutting remarks on the skin only to find it had been removed... All that carefully thought out wit gone to waste...

BTW, before the skin was removed, I gave it a mark of 1. I apologise for doing that - the option to mark a zero wasn't available...
