How to use CursorFXtheme in png package ? [SOLVED]

Hi, Sorry for this trivia but:

Installing a .CursorFXtheme is quite easy : doubleclick on it and it autoinstall (with CursorFX program).

But when we have an icon package of tens of .png cursor files and an .ini file... how do you use them ? :S   Doubleclicking on something ?

Thanks for your help !

It sounds like what you're doing is trying to load a CursorXP theme into CursorFX, which should work.  You should be able to double click on it, and it should load.  You can also put it into your themes folder:

Vista/7: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock\CursorFX\Themes
XP:    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Stardock\CursorFX\Themes

If you still have trouble, it might be an issue with the theme.

If the above fails, post a link here so we know what's going on.

NO NO NO !

I might not have explained myself correctly :

Downloading an .CursorFXtheme and installing it is a breeze ! I doubleclick on the .CursorFXtheme file and it DOES install flawlessly !

BUT, when I download a cursorFX package (supposedly) on the CursorFX dowload website, sometimes I get a zip pack filled, not with an .CursorFXtheme file, but tens of .png cursor files and an .ini file. How do I install these ?

If you rename the zip file to end with .CursorFXtheme is should work.

Make sure that inside the zip file there is not a cursor theme.

Unzip it. You should get the WhateverCFX folder in which there are the Whatever.png images and the .ini file. If so:

You can also put it into your themes folder:
Vista/7: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock\CursorFX\ThemesXP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Stardock\CursorFX\Themes
End of Rosco_P's quote

If not:

Where you have those .png's and ini file, Right click > New Folder name the folder the name of the theme. select all thoses .png's and the ini and slip them into the folder you just created and drop that folder into the folders at the end of the paths that Rosco_P wrote, above.

Zubaz's solution is the easyest and it worked : I renamed the file CursorThemeName.zip to CursorThemeName.zip.CursorFX and doubleclicked it and... some kind of installation occured but the cursor have'nt changed and the pack have'nt loaded in CursorFX. So I doubleclicked it again and it said that the theme was already installed (or something like that) and asked if I wanted to overwrite it. I said "yes" but, same thing : no icon change and neither was it loaded in CursorFX (Pro btw). So I changed the extension to CurXPtheme instead of CursorFX and... ZAP-BAM : doubleclick -> installed -> loaded -> new cursor !

Many thanks Zubaz !
