Don't Start What You Can't Finish...

Awhile ago I started a holiday suite... I worked on it slowly because I thought I had al the time in the world, it seems that time is very quickly coming to an end now. I'm about 20% done, I figure if I work my ass off I'll be about 60% done around the time I wanted it released... ( note 20% completion of one of my skins is quite a bit more than a typical skin). Anyhow sort of at a crossroad, should I try even harder to finish, hold it over to next year (would be incredibly polished by this time), release it without the IconPackage (if i finish the IP I doubt I'll finish the WB, and visa-versa), try to find someone to take a part of my work load (ie. coloring).

Finish the WB....I think they are more downloaded, and I think you'll get better feedback on the theme overall.

I feel your pain..
I have so many new themes in the works right now it's pathetic.
What's even more sorry is that I can't seem to stay motivated to complete them.

I say go for it, but only if the enthusiasm is there. Otherwise you will take shortcuts and the quality will suffer.

I've got 4 wb's on the go, and I just started another one today....most are crap, but this new one is pretty cool. Mind you, I thought that about the last idea too....

I'd say finish the WB skin first. You can always release that in time for the holidays, then add the icons later, or even save them for next year (sort of reminding everyone next year that the skin is still here).

Heh, I need 100 some icons, actually closer to 200 as different icons for different size, colored. Not to mention the 16x16 icons, but those are fairly easy... Picture Dementaecon... but being so much better the old verison is a joke...

As towards the WB... picture something you've never seen before. Throw an excess of detail on that. Then piece it together at 5 times the size of the final. And then do a whole lot of drugs... and you'll just starting grasping what is to be...
