1337... the last four digits of my cell phone number

My boyfriend and I had went to get a new phone during January, and the sales person asked us if we have any specific preference for the last four digits..

my boyfriend went ahead and said "1337"... so now I have 1337 as my last four digits. Makes me feel a bit odd everytime I recite it to people

I'ev had 1337 as the last 4 digits of my home number for 5 years. The phone company thought I was nuts when I asked for the number in my new exchange, it wasn't available and I asked if I could contact the current owner.

Turns out it was an outgoing-only number for some dispatch company, and they agreed to switch it out for me! No charge to them, I paidthe switch, but hey...I got my 1337.

Joe, there's no hope for you...

We already knew Elfie was 1337. The only weird thing about my phone number is that it has the same digit five times in a row.

elite in the comeputer world, means the same as it does in the real world, to tell someone they are elite, means that your telling them there the best of the best. and as with the rest of the english language, it has been changed to suit its purpost, so now its just simply a basic compliment, with the highest possible rank of -very good. so now if your 4 1337 k0d3r (a leet coder) then your just simply good. - in the old days you would have been most excellent to be called 1337. - oh well

the old days? I've been coding for a long time. However, in the world of IBM programmers, where I got my start in programming, proper language was always encouraged. So I never really was exposed to the leet speak. Winding up with a phone number that is leet is just slightly ironic

Hi werewolf, I'm one of the "lurkers" I'm here but don't post very much. Being one of the developers of SD products, I mostly just peruse the message boards to see if there is anything I can help with or need to fix. As well as checkout new WB skins for something nice to spruce up my workaday world
