wincustomize account prefs keep resetting

from WinCustomize Forums
Hey all. I browse/login to wincustomize from my home pc and my work pc. I think this may be confusing wincustomize (don't know if prefs are stored entirely in the server database or in a cookie). But in the morning, when I login at work the app list prefs on the left side of the page are reset.

I then change my account. When I go home and bring up wincustomize on my home pc they're reset again! And I have to manually set my prefs again.

Any ideas?

They keep changing on me too...........and I only use 1 computer.

I use two computers, and some things seem to be cookie based, while others are tied to my username. Once I have things set the way I want though, they don't change on me.

The list of visible libraries keeps resetting once in awhile, even if I haven't shut down the computer in between. Strange.

Are they still resetting? I fixed this bug yesterday. So if you have logged on and editing your settings since yesterday about 3:00pm EST you shouldn't be having the problem anymore.

Here is some true wierdness. I was surfing the message board earlier today. I hit back once and the skin changed. I liked the skin and left it that way. I came back later this afternoon and the site is back to the first skin.

It be broke for me. I often seem to get logged out. When you are posting and this happens you get "0" returned, which isn't much use.

I had that one happen too but I clicked on another thread and it changed back to the skin in my profile.

Just had a new one... clicked on a thread and it came up in a 12pt TimesRoman font. Clicked on another thread and it was normal again...

that just happened to me as well.

i click "return to message board", and then spent 5 minutes wondering where the envelopes had gone.

when i found i had been logged out it made more sence *sigh*

Ok, I think I have solved the problem. To make sure the problem is fixed I recommended deleting your wincustomize cookie to clear out some bad outdated data. (after a period of time it will clean itself up though).

But hopefully it should begin behaving much better now.
