.76 quest - assassin's blade = nothing happens.

so i got me the an item called assassin's blade.. triggers a quest. target location is apparently a place called "miser's workshop" (click on quest icon on left side of screen.. takes me there)

got there. enter square, nothing happens. (with blade equipped or unequipped)

move out of square, click atk.. can't atk.

loading save game just have the quest icon disappear.

is the quest borked?

then i got a quest to find the cloak of stars.

to start with, it says get some xtal by killing ophidian (game spawned 2 lairs with the monsters on top)

killed 1 lot and got 30 xtals... then i got a dialogue about finding some dragon and killing it with a spell. odd thing is that the game quest icon says find 10 xtal (don't know what the quest screen says before i killed the 1st lot of ophidian)

so i killed the other ophidian... and the quest icon says kill dragon. clicking on it doesn't tell me where the dragon is.. is that borked too? or do i just kill any old dragon lying around?

---

yet another quest gone wonky.

there was some travelling camp where merchants or some such's caravan got ambushed by trolls.

killed trolls, asked to find scattered horses and return to camp for gold or whatever.

saw 2 scattered horses spawned (might be more, but not within field of vision).. got the 2 of them, went to camp and nothing happened.

reload game.. and all quest icons on left side have disappeared (including dragon above)

The quest is still bugged - nothing happens when you kill the 3 targets and return to the stone ring. Worse, new quests do not start.

Just searched this topic last night and found a few replies. Basically, go back to the stone circle with the blade UNequipped. Quest will resolve.

Interestingly, the new and improved blade appeared in the inventory of my hero who had started the quest, despite being brought back by a different hero. The one who returned the blade was left without a decent weapon, but it was nice that the 32 damage sword popped up in the inventory of my hero who was on the front lines of an ongoing conflict.
