desktopX slow loading

from WinCustomize Forums
having purchaced object desktop xmas 2003
my computer used to take just a few moments to load
with desktopX being used now after a lot of updates it seems
to load half way then it stops for a few moments before it finishes
loading
when i unload desktopX i finish up with two half wallpapers

open up windows task manager and take a look to see what's eating up all your computer resources. DesktopX is only using 6,920K on my computer
In comparison Iexplore.exe is using 22,132K to keep this window open

i don't have the wallpaper issue, but i have noticed that DX is taking longer to load than it used to. where "used to" is 1-2 weeks ago.

Mick....I got your email....I don't see anything really strange there. I'm going to post the image in this thread (hope you don't mind...I'll D-elete it if you do) maybe yrag will notice something.

It does look like you are using a good size DX theme.....guessing here. Is it something you downloaded from here that I can try to see if I get the problem with the wallpaper?

Everything in the TM looks OK...it sounds like you have an active desktop enabled. Look in Display Properties/Desktop/Customize/Web and clear any check marks...

New version of DesktopX just came out through SDC.....appears there have been quite a few updates to it
