Reserve Edge does not work for bottom of screen

Running OD Free v1.90 build 536 on XP SP3, and love it.  However, the option to "Reserve edge of screen" only works correctly if the position of the dock is top, left or right.  If the position is bottom, the edge is not reserved.

If I have a window maximized and change the location of the dock to top, left or right, the window correctly adjusts itself to keep the edge reserved.  If bottom, the maxed window overlaps the OD area.  Any ideas?

Thanks

Where is your taskbar?

The Windoz taskbar is on the bottom of the screen, but I have it set to auto-hide, so that OD is at the bottom edge of the screen.  If I hover over an area at the bottom outside of OD, the taskbar appears, but OD stays on top of it, still at the bottom edge of the screen (which is what I want).

My OD "Positioning" settings are:

Edge of screen: Bottom

Reserve edge of screen: checked

Automatic distance from edge: unchecked, with the slide all the way to the left ("keep right on edge")

Interaction: "Keep on top" selected

Thx

If you're hiding your taskbar, perhaps you should check the setting: "Hide the windows taskbar" in the OD config window.

That would get rid of the taskbar completely though wouldn't it?  I don't think he wants that.

Try this jafar, move your taskbar to the top, then move that dock to the top also.  Set everthing up just as you do for the bottom and see if you have the same problem.

Then, just put the dock down at the bottom and see what happens.  My guess is it's a taskbar interference problem.  However, I setup mine just like you said and I can't replicate your problem.  It works just like it's supposed to.  I'd try a ticket to support@stardock.com.

Well it appears to be a taskbar interference problem.  What I want is to have the taskbar auto-hidden at the bottom of the screen, with OD also at the bottom.  This way when I hover the mouse over the system tray area, the taskbar pops up and I can work with the systray.

If I check the setting "hide the windows taskbar" in OD then everything works as it's supposed to, but messiah1 you're right -- I don't want the taskbar hidden all the time.

Looks like I'll need to open a ticket.  Thanks for your help.

No problem.  Hope they can help.  Like I said, I couldn't replicate your problem but they'll be able to go in depth with you I'm sure.

Tech support was able to recreate the problem, and they have forwarded it to the developers for resolution in a future release.

Did they say what they thought it was?
