Point of Pantheon?

Is there a reason to play pantheon games in the works? Right now I see it as more of a restrictive skirmish. I can see an eventual reason to Pantheon, just not now.

The point of Pantheon is to have multiplayer in somewhat structured manner. Are you looking for some type of "reward"?
