Had to post something after reading all the whining around here (mainly in the "general stardock games" section, since for some reason Impulse won't let people see subforums). I've even been to other forums where they're complaining about this... I guess it's a few days late, but I only just got here. So.,, It's going to be a month late. Woo.
At least it's not Enter The Matrix - released on-time, but unplayable on any system. Patched before it was even released, and then never again. The patch broke more things than it corrected, and for the majority of systems (I think, all Nvidia hardware) Agents wore green suits. Don't get me started on the driving sections. When you did ninja moves on guys you often weren't even appearing to touch their character model at any time. And a forum wasn't even opened for it despite Atari selling several million copies, because they knew what would be posted in that forum. People posted pictures of themselves in the "general" forum making copies of the game and giving it away for free at streetcorners, leaving complete disc sets lying around in public areas. One guy claimed to have given away over 300 copies of the game - that's 1200 discs he burned IIRC, with 20 or so burners spread across 8 computers. That's how bad it was. By the way, it was also $60, not $10, and there was no beta.
They've delayed it a month, not 4 years like Windows Vista. And unlike Vista, there will likely be some appreciable benefit to owning Entrenchment.
They're charging $10 for it when they could've easily slapped together a few dozen maps as well and sold it as a full-fledged expansion, like some other games. $10 for basically addressing the majority of the complaints about the original game, which was critically lauded as being one of the best and most original RTS games in years. And now it's a month late. Holy shit, let's start a riot.
