CursorFX Plus 2.0 Beta 3

(1.94[b].024

Hi I'm having a couple of problems with this beta.
Resizing of cursors does not work, and "apply" doesn't work with trails, effects or resize.
Will this be fixed in the next release?Soz if this has already been raised. :)

bobbyhundreds - same problem here but after you resize etc... go back to the cursors tab and double click on your selected cursor and it will apply any changes made. I know this isn't a fix but is a workaround until it is fixed. Hope this helps. :d

I installed this as you suggested.Unfortunately it isn't the "Plus" version so doesn't even give me access to the resize settings. If I click on them,it just tells me I need to to get "Plus" (which I already purchased and is what I was having the original problem with). Also if I try to apply trails or effects with the one you suggested I install,it just crashes.

I have also experienced the cursor behind menu items in the start menu. It doens't always happen and may be with certain cursors or settings. Also it seems that you need to double click the "Current Theme" bar to get settings to apply to it. Also it is very difficult to get effects such as click annimations to "stick" when setting them in a given cursor theme.

by the way, Where are the latest "Plus" betas posted for download?

You can always start tickets with us at support@stardock.com. I often pass along issues with betas directly to the developers from there.

Stardock Central does not list CursorFX.

Thanks Seabass, but it's not too important as it's only beta teething problems and I'm sure it will be sorted as these things usually are. Thanks for your input though. :)

Hello.. Is CursorFX vista only, or is it the successor to CursorXP on both platforms?

I ask because this is not shown anywhere in SD, not even Misc, whether pre-release versions is enabled or not. I use SD 2.51.513, build: 164 (the newest I guess).

Btw, no updates to anything in the Misc category has been done since 12/13/2005
according to SD (i.e everything since Apogee Icons in the 'Demo' section are missing, such as Essorant 2,Utopia Icons etc).

I can see CursorFX,Essorant2,Utopia, etc in the Show/Hide dialog, and all are enabled, but doesn't show.
I tried to download XML data, just to see if that helped, but no dice.

However, I have a registered CursorXP listed (bought it a long while ago).

CursorFX is the successor on both platforms. it is in beta so make sure you have the "show beta" checked at the bottom of SDC.

The updated version on stardock central still looses my cursor behind the start menu very often. Anyone else still have this issue?

Do you still have XP installed? Try uninstalling XP and restarting. See if this clears the issue for you.

If not what other skinning software are you running?

Ys, uninstalling cursorxp and updating to the latest cursorfx in the last couple days fixed most of my problems.

Good to hear! There should be a formal release for FX very very soon. Please look to Stardock Central for the updates!
