DA stand alone ship builder

Is Dark Avatar going to have a stand alone ship builder? And if not, could we at least have an option to select and delete any custom built ships? Early on in GalCiv2, I went crazy with the ship builder, but now I want to create new ship designs in DA. I'm just tired of having the old ship designs appear as options to build.

I have wanted an outside of game ship builder, but for different reasons. I would like to be able to design a line of ships to use for my custom races and such, without having to do it in game and then saving them. When I want to design nice ships, I at times can spend an hour or more doing it. It really kinda takes you out of the game when trying to do it while playing.

as i tried to say in one of my feeds

what we need as players is multi ship yards

that way you can choose to use ship yard a or b or c

maybe only with the custom race but i still think it should be an option

What are you talking about? Do you mean multiple shipyards on a single planet? Becuase if so, then your production would be divided, and it would take twice as long to build a ship (if there were only one extra ship yard, even longer if there were more).

Plus, you would be taking up a potential factory tile, which would then potentially lengthen your production time even longer.

Sort of like how there are differant hull types? So you would place your custom ships into certain "ship sets" (I can't think of a better word right now), then choose which one you wanted?

That's what I am getting from him. However, I don't think that would help me much. I usually design two or three variants of each class of ship I build so even with three different designer folders\screens it would still clutter up a lot for me.

what i meant is that at the beginning of the game you can choose the ship designs that you want to play with for that game

ie star fleet ships, bab. 5 ships, battle star ships

sorry didn't mean more than one ship yard per planet

i hope that clears it up
